Do postcards still work for small businesses?

By The WentBack team · · 1 min read

Inboxes are crowded and phones buzz all day, but the mailbox is quiet. A real postcard with your logo and the customer's name on it gets picked up, looked at and often stuck on the fridge. That's why recall postcards have stayed popular with dental offices, auto shops and clinics for decades. They're also the best way to reach customers who don't use email or whose phone number has changed.

Postcards work best when they're personal and easy to act on. Use the customer's name and remind them what they're due for, such as a cleaning, a tune-up or a seasonal service. Include a QR code that takes them straight to a booking page, plus your phone number for people who'd rather call. Time them around natural moments, like the change of season, the holidays or a year since their last visit. A postcard that says "Time for your fall checkup, Sam" gets a very different response than a generic flyer.

With WentBack, mail is one more channel alongside text, WhatsApp, email and phone calls. Choose a print-ready postcard template, add your logo and photos, and we print and post it for you, with names and a QR code to your booking page filled in for each customer. You can send postcards on their own or as a fallback for customers who couldn't be reached another way, so nobody on your list is left out.
