How to get more Google reviews

By The WentBack team · · 1 min read

When someone searches for a business like yours, your reviews are often the first thing they see. More recent, positive reviews help you show up higher in Google Maps and make new customers more likely to choose you. The trouble is that happy customers rarely think to leave one. Unhappy customers seek out a review page on their own, while satisfied ones simply go about their day, unless someone asks.

Asking works, as long as you do it at the right moment and make it easy. The best time is shortly after a visit, while the experience is fresh. Send a short, personal thank-you with a direct link to your review page, so leaving a review takes seconds instead of a search. Ask everyone in the same way rather than picking only your biggest fans, and don't offer rewards for reviews, which Google's rules don't allow. And reply to the reviews you get, good or bad, so future customers can see you care.

WentBack can send that thank-you for you after every visit. Add your review link once in your settings, choose a ready-made review request template for text, WhatsApp or email, and turn on the automation. Each customer gets a friendly message with their name and your review link at the right time, without your team having to remember. Over time that steady trickle of reviews helps more new customers find you, and every one of them can become a regular.
